|
On a beautiful Saturday afternoon 40 motorcycles and 2 USA cars met at Custom Central to enjoy a scenic ride and Poker Run. Our good friends at the Classic Roast Cafe provided beautiful hot mini rolls with roast meat and gravy for all to enjoy before we set off. Our first card was cut at Custom Central then we all mounted up and cruised out to Plainlands for a coffee stop and our second card. Our next leg took us through Coominya and Lowood where some of us stopped for gas and met a guy on a beautifully restored Indian Scout. The next 2 cards were cut at Fernvale. Our final leg brought us back in Ipswich Road, turning off onto Oxley Road and following it around to Sherwood for our final card at Classic Roast Cafe. Cards were sorted and prizes awarded as per the list below. Some stayed for dinner, some rode home to beat the night chill but most rode to the Goodna Hotel to listen to Jammer and the Bootleggers pounding out rock and roll. A film crew were shooting Jammer and the boys performance. A great day was had yet again by all. CATEGORY PRIZE WINNER
Our next ride was to the VVMC for their Long Tan Memorial and a small group helped the Vets celebrate this very special day. Members of Custom Central staff also attended the wedding of Skip and Ljuba. The next ride coming up is on Saturday August 29th departing from Custom Central at 12 NOON SHARP bound for Gold Coast Bike Week. ALL V-TOC MEMBERS WILL GAIN FREE ADMISSION (NON MEMBERS PAY $25). |
